EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Andrew Jacob Teplitz (October 10, 1995) was born in Washington, D.C. to homemaker Ellen (née Krause) and telecommunications lawyer Steven Teplitz. He and his brother Matthew were raised in an Episcopal household in Chevy Chase, Maryland. As a young man, he participated in wilderness exploration trips with Kieve Wavus Education in Nobleboro, Maine. He first ventured into business shoveling driveways in the winter to buy CDs.

He attended St. Albans School, an independent college preparatory day and boarding school for boys, where he participated in American football and rowing. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Fine Arts where he made the dean's list, joined the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity, and started a theater company.

After graduating, Teplitz settled in Los Angeles and took jobs with several businesses including Meta Platforms where he immersed himself in marketing and sales.
TWIN TECHNOLOGIES
In 2021, Teplitz started an informal business selling IT services and equipment. He then applied for a vendor license to bid on contracts for the Los Angeles Unified School District, winning bids by not having the overhead of a store.

Teplitz sold directly to government units, manufacturing products only after they were ordered. Operating out of a small apartment, the business sold over $100,000 worth of services and equipment in its first year of operation.

Believing the potential cost savings of a manufacturer selling products directly to government units to have enormous advantages over the conventional indirect resale process, Teplitz purchased twintechnologies.com in February 2023.

The business is currently headquartered in New York City. In his capacity as chief executive officer, Teplitz focuses on the strategic direction and overall growth of the company.
PERSONAL LIFE
Teplitz met Clare McHugh on Hinge in August 2020. They announced their engagement at the Palace of Versailles in August 2024.

He is a fan of the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball League, and the New England Patriots of the National Football League.
